Hello I'm Christy,

For as long as I can remember, I have known that “people” are my hobby. We as people, reflect so much about ourselves through our verbal and nonverbal behaviors.  Our words and actions reveal a great deal about what is really happening deep inside of our soul.  Happiness is hard to contain without smiling.  Sadness causes drawn eyes with tension across the forehead.  And loneliness holds a look that is vacant and withdrawn.  Emotion. Is. Real.

I find myself now, many years later, sitting across from the individuals I work with captivated by who they are and their place in the world.  I see my clients as fascinating people with remarkable stories.  I acknowledge my clients have authentic emotions and their feelings can be validated even if confusing.  But most importantly, I desire that my clients know that I see them and the difficulties that may have brought them to my office.

I no longer view my interests in observing people solely as a hobby, but rather as a gift.  My love for people comes with a desire to understand their lives and their connection to those around them.  It is indeed a gift to be captivated by people, people who I am fortunate enough to call my clients.
